SHOP & DINE IN CENTURIES OLD HERITAGE DISTRICT
Grab a coffee or an ice cream and stroll around the old heritage district. Discover quaint shops and fantastic local businesses, including: hair salons, spas, a bookstore and an art gallery. Have dinner in one of Port Dalhousie’s many pubs or restaurants or simply come for a beer at the local brewery.
LAKESIDE PARK BEACH
Located on Lake Ontario’s southern shore, Lakeside Park boasts a popular sandy beach, a pier perfect for fishing or a morning stroll, and a fabulous playground for children. Pack a picnic lunch and head to the beach to enjoy amazing views. Don’t forget to bring your paddle board, kayak, or water skis and enjoy a fun day on the water!
LAKESIDE PARK CAROUSEL
At the beach, you will also find an antique, hand-crafted carousel that was carved from 1898 to 1905. Be sure to take a whirl on this important piece of Port Dalhousie history. Only 5 cents a ride!
WATERFRONT TRAIL
The Waterfront Trail offers views of the antique carousel, sandy beach and busy harbour. This 3-kilometre trail extends from the base of the pier at Lakeside Park to the commercial core area. Enjoy a relaxing walk with beautiful views.
ROYAL CANADIAN HENLEY REGATTA (AUGUST)
The Royal Canadian Henley Regatta is the annual race that takes place over a week every August at Martindale Pond in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. This is one of the most prestigious competitions in North American rowing. Each competition is followed by live music and fireworks.
